not to be an asshole or anything but does anyone else have the feeling that we’re following the doctor and not the doctor and his companion?
In my opinion I feel slightly bad for Clara because she is in sort of the same position as Martha being the “rebound” companion to such majorly important and loved companions; Rose / Amy and Rory (and River).
I have grown to really like Clara, I dont think this is the end for her yet and I like that they created her character in that she has in a sense always been with the Doctor even if either of them didn’t exactly know it at the time. I sort of see Clara as the mother figure to the Doctor; she doesn’t take his sass and puts him in his place now and then but overall she is willing to sacrifice herself for him (last night’s episode being the most major one of all!) and for other people she loves. I think we are still yet to see what she is capable of.
So dont give up on Clara! Not yet anyway…
